An important ruling from the Cairo Economic Court
Law Firm for legal consultations, and international arbitration, under the supervision of Dr. Hatem ALABD, the founding and managing partner obtained an important judgment from the Cairo Economic Court, the appeal chamber, in favor of one of their major clients (American INTEGRA Group for the manufacture of medical supplies).
The facts of the case are summarized as follows: an Egyptian company contracted with INTEGRA SciencesLife Corporation as a distributor of its products in Egypt. Still, the Egyptian company registered itself with the Egyptian authorities as an agent, not a distributor, to benefit from the legal protection that Egyptian law grants to commercial agencies.
Then the Egyptian company proceeded to bring Integra’s products into Egypt in the name of another company having a similar name and denied receiving the contents of these products, which are estimated at millions of pounds.
After nearly three years, the litigation team at ALABD INTERNATIONAL Law Firm was able to access the products and prove the defendant’s tricks.
It is worth noting that this is the second time that ALABD INTERNATIONAL Law Firm has achieved great success and victory in favor of the American group. The law firm obtained a judgment a few months ago to reject the defendant’s lawsuit for compensation in the amount of 15,000,000 US dollars and canceled the ban on the American group in Egypt.
